Red HerrinG
Red HerrinG was a corporate identity project for a fictional seafood restaurant, produced during Birks' HND at Suffolk College.
It involved researching existing restaurants in Ipswich, to identify a gap in the market. Once that was done, came the task of filling that gap. Henceforth Birks came up with the idea of a bold and modern seafood restaurant in the centre of Ipswich. The title created provided a wealth of ideas that would suit the restaurant.
After completing the project, it was entered in the annual McNaughton Review awards, where it earned a place in the Student Design category. The framed certificate proudly hangs at Birks' Mum's house.
